In the movie, Adam is a rock-star and a lead singer and guitarist of a band who falls in love with Mia Hall when he sees her playing the cello. They then go on a date and later starts a relationship. After the crash that killed her family, when Adam was finally able to meet Mia, He reads her the acceptance letter. After making a hard choice, between her career and her love Mia then leaves Adam and they both go on their separate way.
